AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Salvation Army of Augusta is kicking off its annual Red Kettle Campaign, the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year.

Each gift dropped into a kettle — no matter how small — helps make a life-changing impact for neighbors in need across the Augusta area.

Every dollar raised at a local Red Kettle stays local, sustaining programs that serve the community year-round.

Last year alone, support from Red Kettle donors helped the Salvation Army of Augusta:

More than $200,000 provided in rent and utility assistance to help families avoid homelessness.

About 200 meals served daily through the Center of Hope soup kitchen.

More than 400 people placed into stable housing over the past three year
