Gerald Leslie “Gerry” Pond, 66, of Glen Cove, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2025, leaving behind a lifetime of love, lessons, and laughter.

Born May 2, 1959, in Midland, Texas, Gerry was the son of Walter Clark and Dorothy Ellen (McDonald) Pond. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 20 years, enlisting on October 30, 1978, and retiring on November 30, 1998. During his distinguished career, he traveled to 72 countries and took part in numerous operations and deployments. Among his many awards and accomplishments, he was especially proud of becoming a Shellback and being named Senior Sailor of the Quarter for an entire battle group.
