MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - Set up is underway for the 50th year of the Big One Art and Craft Fair in Minot.

The Big One Art and Craft Fair has four shows across North Dakota with more than 400 different exhibitors.

It’s a chance for them to showcase their handmade items to thousands of people who come through the doors.

Diane Meckle has been a vendor at the same spot for more than 30 years.

“The thing that I noticed, it still has that hometown feeling to it,” said Meckle.

Now nearing her 70s, her booth has something for everyone, from baked goods to jewelry and wooden crafts.

Organizers Lisa and Stacy Frank took over in 2006 from sisters Lois and Carol. Footage from 1992 shows how far the fair has come.
