MESA, Ariz. — A Mesa man is facing multiple charges after a standoff at an apartment on Nov. 5, according to the city's police department.
Mesa police said 33-year-old Thomas Zambrano is looking at charges of aggravated assault, discharging a firearm at a residential structure, prohibited possessor in possession of a firearm, and several domestic violence-related charges following the incident.
Police said the suspect's girlfriend and a neighbor were injured in the incident.
The standoff began at 5 a.m. at a home near University Drive and Greenfield Road.
Police said they were called to the home after a physical fight between Zambrano and the victim, described as Zambrano's girlfriend.
The caller told police the victim was bleeding from her head.
