PHOENIX — Arizona residents can get a glimpse of the 2025 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree, a 53-foot red fir named “Silver Belle,” when it makes its only Arizona stop Friday evening at Flagstaff Mall.

The community celebration, held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 7, marks part of the tree’s cross-country journey to Washington, D.C., where it will be displayed on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol Building.

Visitors can sign banners attached to the sides of the truck transporting the tree. The banners will travel with Silver Belle across the nation. Guests can also take photos with the tree and Santa.

This year’s Capitol Christmas Tree was harvested from the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Nevada. The tradition started in 1964 when the Speaker of the House placed a live Christmas tree on the
