Washoe County Commissioner Mike Clark announced Nov. 6 that he is seeking re-election in his District 2 seat, which covers most of south Reno down into Washoe Valley.
So far, Clark's only declared opponent in the 2026 election is Jon Killoran, CEO of the Reno Tahoe Winter Games Coalition . Both are Republicans.
In a news release, Clark said that he plans to fight for accountability, transparency and commonsense leadership across the county.
“I’m not here to make headlines or win popularity contests,” Clark said. “I’m here to do the job — to protect taxpayers, to fight for seniors, to safeguard our rural communities, and to ensure that county government answers to the people, not the other way around.”
