CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified two people who died after a grey sedan drove off a bridge on River Road on Wednesday afternoon.
Curtis McNeil, 67, and Gerard Sherman, 44, both died in the crash at 767 River Road.
Around 2:30 p.m., units responded to the location on Johns Island after receiving reports about a submerged vehicle.
When they arrived, the witness explained that they had seen the grey sedan travel off the bridge and into the water below.
Crews were able to recover the overturned vehicle. The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is investigating this incident.
