EUGENE, Ore. - A Marcola man stands trial for the murder of Dustin Shelton, who was shot with a crossbow in 2023, according to Lane County Circuit Court records.

Court documents show that Isaac Henry McGrew faces charges of first-degree murder, second-degree kidnapping, and tampering with a witness. Shelton was found dead on Sept. 28, 2023, outside the St. Vincent De Paul's store on Main Street. Authorities discovered him with an arrow in his head, which had his name written on it.

Security footage and witness accounts from a nearby RV led police to a woman who was present during the incident. She revealed that McGrew, her ex-boyfriend, threatened her after shooting Shelton.

McGrew's trial is anticipated to last two weeks, court records said.
