MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A 23-year-old woman is locked up after allegedly threatening to blow up Jail East.
Kelvionia Townsend is charged with threatening to commit an act of mass violence, false reporting and harrassment.
The sheriff's office said Townsend is related to an individual currently locked up at Jail East on domestic violence charges.
At 11:34 p.m. Oct. 30, the sheriff's office says Townsend contacted the release office at Jail East for Women and threatened to blow up the facility if inmate releases did not begin by midnight.
Townsend was arrested Thursday by the SCSO detectives and members of the Fugitive Apprehension Team in the 2600 block of James Road.
