ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WJHL) — Several fire departments responded to a fire in Elizabethton on Thursday that left multiple structures burnt.
Watauga Volunteer Fire Department Chief Benny Colbaugh said four to five structures were burning at once.
"This fire is undetermined at this time until we figure out what exactly happened," he said. "We know we had several structures on fire at the time we arrived. We had a mobile home for the house; it had some outside damage. Equipment shed, farm equipment burnt."
He said it took crews approximately 30 to 45 minutes to extinguish the flames.
"And then we had to do a mop-up for ours," Colbaugh said. "It was just a lot of a large volume of fire at the time we were dealing with.
Crews on scene did not say if anyone was injured in the fire. • Photo
