GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The Green Bay Area Public School District confirmed Thursday that they received formal notice from suspended Green Bay East High School football coach Niko Sila that he rejects the resignation offer.

The district placed Sila on leave last month, following allegations that include giving kids rides home after practice and not following supervision protocols. It has not made specific details public, citing the investigation.

Representatives of Sila held a news conference Tuesday night, speaking on his behalf, saying that Sila would allow the school board to determine his future. The district will recommend termination.

The board currently has two meetings scheduled for next week, but it’s not known whether this issue would be discussed at either of those meetings.
