Tonight, it will be partly cloudy, and it will not be as chilly, with lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s.

The weather pattern changes on Friday as a trough pushes a cold front into the state from the northwest. It will be partly cloudy and mild, with scattered showers and storms developing in the afternoon.

SPC has placed all of Central Alabama in a Level 1/5 Marginal Risk for a few severe storms. The threats could be gusty winds and hail. Highs will be in the mid-70s. The cold front will cross Alabama on Friday night, bringing more scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. Some storms could be strong to possibly severe with gusty winds. Lows will be in the upper 50s.
