LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Thursday marks Winter Weather Awareness Day in Nebraska.
The Severe Weather Center is using this day as a reminder that now is the time to prepare for snow, ice and frigid temperatures before the heart of winter arrives.
And the first flurries of the year .
