Will Greg Marshall be back on the Western football sideline next season?

That has been a major question since the Mustangs suffered their bizarre upset loss to the Guelph Gryphons in the first round of the Ontario university playoffs two weeks ago. The Laurier Golden Hawks, coached by former Western quarterback Michael Faulds, will meet the Queen’s Gaels, led by Londoner Steve Snyder, in the 117th Yates Cup Saturday afternoon in Waterloo.

Until this fall, Marshall and the Mustangs were a fixture in the Ontario conference title game. They played in nine straight dating back to 2015, won five of them and re-established themselves as the most consistently dominant team in the province.
