FARGO — A Fargo veteran has a new car to call his own, thanks to a donation from Progressive Insurance.

Army veteran James Malstrom received the keys to a Toyota Camry on Thursday, Nov. 6, as part of Progressive’s Keys to Progress initiative.

The car, which will help Malstrom get to and from doctor’s appointments and visit family, came with six months of insurance and a $370 gift card.

“He's been relying on public transportation for quite some time to get to appointments and even run his errands, go to the grocery store, all of those things, so having his own vehicle is definitely going to have an impact on his life,” said Amy Matejcek, claims representative supervisor at Progressive.

In all, 99 veterans around the country received cars as part of the program Thursday.
