RIVER RIDGE, La. (WGNO) — Smash Dat Burgers' special "Burger of the Month" is the Thanksgiving burger.

The Thanksgiving burger is a turkey patty, fried stuffing, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, sweet potato hash and Swiss cheese, all on a toasted brioche bun.

The owner of Smash Dat Burgers in River Ridge, Quinn Richard, said he got the idea for his Thanksgiving burger from Parkway Bakery & Tavern in New Orleans.

"They do a Thanksgiving po-boy every year, so ours is a nice nod to it. We do burgers and they do po-boys," Richard said.

"It's really to give the customers that come often something else to try, you know, excite their palette a bit," he said.

Burger lovers say that this Thanksgiving burger does, in fact, "smash dat."
