We continue to hum along in this first week of November, waiting for the cold we know is coming. In the meantime, temperatures remain unusually warm with readings back in the 60s and 70s today. A round of midday clouds kept temperatures a bit cooler in some areas, including Springfield. This broke our streak of 70° highs, but it looks like they should resume tomorrow.

For tonight, a wave of clouds will make for peaks of moonshine. Temperatures will remain unusually mild, only falling into the 50s.

A cold front will arrive near sunrise, the third in the series this week, that will have very little impact on our weather. Early clouds will give way to sunny skies on Friday, with temperatures climbing back to open window levels in the low 70s.
