VELVA, N.D. (KMOT) - Velva-D-A-G football is in the Class A semifinals for the fourth straight season. The Aggies have the highest margin of victory in the division through two playoff games, outscoring opponents 99-12.
Head Coach Matt Weidler said the team’s preparation during the week has been the key to the success.
“When you get out there on Saturdays, you hope they execute at a high level, and our guys have. But we’ve had a really good week of practice, and really the past three weeks, so that’s helped us spring into starting the game off well,” said Weidler.
The fourth-seeded Aggies now travel to the top-seeded and undefeated Langdon Area-Munich, in what is Velva’s first true road playoff game since 2021.
It is a rematch of last year’s semifinal game played at Larry Sandy Field.
