The employers of a 30-year-old Worcester woman who went missing from work last week and was found dead in her car on Monday are reeling from the loss.
“This is a huge shock, and a terrible personal loss to many of us, our community and our small business,” read a Facebook post from the Bean Counter Bakery Cafe on Thursday.
“Joanna was a significant part of Bean Counter Bakery’s story for 8 years. She was a leader and a friend, and many of us had close personal friendships with her,” the statement read.
Joanna Brown, 30, was last seen on Friday, Oct. 31, at about 9 a.m. at the Bean Counter Bakery and Cafe on 270 Grove St., according to Worcester police.
She was reported missing by her family on Nov. 2, after she hadn’t shown up for work or contacted her friends or family.
