LEWISTON, N.Y. — A deer trapped in a 10-foot-deep dry well in Niagara County was safely rescued on Thursday afternoon with the help of state environmental officers and local emergency crews.
The incident was reported around 1:15 p.m. Thursday. The deer became trapped off of Upper Mountain Road in the Town of Lewiston, according to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
