BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff announced Friday that defenseman Rasmus Dahlin will be taking a temporary leave of absence.
"Rasmus will be taking a temporary leave of absence to deal with a personal matter back in Sweden. I will say this, he said everything is ok, and through this he's got full support by our team," Ruff said during a press conference.
While the team did not say what the issue was, Dahlin had announced in September that his fiancée Carolina Matovac recently had a heart transplant while on a vacation in France earlier this year after suffering a traumatic heart incident.
