HURON, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - As access to healthcare and proper nutrition continues to be a challenge for many Central Valley farmworker families, a large-scale food giveaway and free access health screenings were held in Huron Thursday.

More than 400 families came through the distribution site at the Family Resource Center this week, part of the ongoing California Farmworker Distribution program. The monthly event offers boxes filled with a mix of fresh produce, pantry staples, and culturally appropriate food options.
