The Eatery dining hall at the University of Pittsburgh, Trinity Intermediate School in Washington County and two apartment complexes on the North Side and South Side are among the 2025 Design Pittsburgh Award winners.

The Pittsburgh chapter of the American Institute of Architects held its awards ceremony Thursday evening at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center. This year’s jurors were from AIA Potomac Valley in Maryland.

A silver award, AIA Pittsburgh’s highest honor, was given to Hord Coplan Macht for the Glasshouse apartments, which were built on a South Side brownfield near Station Square on the Monongahela River.

Jurors complimented the development’s “public connection — taking advantage of and enriching the waterfront without monopolizing it.”
