Police have charged two men in their twenties for their alleged role in the murder of Western Sydney underworld figure Amar Kettule, four years after the attack.

Kettule, 34, was shot dead in what police described at the time as an “execution-style murder” on Ware Street in Fairfield on January 10, 2021.

After years of investigations, homicide detectives arrested two men on Thursday morning in connection to the senior gang member's killing.

Strike force officers executed two search warrants in Bossley Park and Austral, leading to the arrests of a 22-year-old man and a 23-year-old man.

They were both taken to Cabramatta Police Station and charged with destroying property in company using fire exceeding $5,000 in damage.
