KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The East Tennessee History Center wants to help East Tennesseans trace their roots. This weekend, they are hosting a gathering for those interested in genealogy.
The East Tennessee Roots and Resources Conference kicks off Friday, Nov. 7, and runs through Sunday, Nov. 9.
The event will include meetings with genealogists and historians who are there to help people look into their family history.
The keynote speaker is Charles Sherrill, a retired state librarian and archivist for the state of Tennessee.
