WREX — Stakes were high on Thursday Night in high school Volleyball as a lot was on the line for two area teams, both Stockton and Rockford Christian had the chance to bring home some hardware and get one step closer to a spot in the State Tournament.
In 1A, the two seeded Stockton Lady Blackhawks matched up against top seeded Galena in the Eastland Sectional Final in Lanark.
After a 25-16 win in the first set, Stockton had to fend off a pesky Galena team, but in the end, it was the Lady Blackhawks who managed to win in two straight sets, winning 25-22 in the second.
Stockton advances to the 1A Woodstock-Marian Super-Sectional on Monday Night at 7:00, where they will play Schaumburg-Christian, who won tonight in three sets.
