DELTA, Colo. (KKTV) - Two people were injured in a plane crash on Sunday in North Delta, according to the Delta County Sheriff’s Office.
DCSO said deputies responded to H Lane in North Delta alongside Delta Police, the Delta Volunteer Fire Department and the Delta County Ambulance District after receiving a report that a small airplane had crashed.
Upon arrival, DCSO said crews were directed to a ravine north of a home where a single-engine yellow bush plane was on the ground, with its nose resting against the ravine wall. The plane was reportedly about 100 yards from the home.
Deputies said a flight instructor and a student pilot were in the plane at the time of the crash. One of the men was able to exit the plane, but DCSO said the second had to be assisted by residents who came to th
