One Omaha resident is speaking out after he says he received a 40% increase in his Affordable Care Act marketplace health insurance plan for 2026. It'll cost him $500 more a month.
Hundreds of thousands of Omaha residents are preparing for a similar spike in costs. KETV Investigates found that 91% of ACA marketplace consumers may receive fewer tax credits in 2026 if the current federal plan expires.

John, who asked not to use his last name, uses Medica insurance through the ACA, which sent a letter for the open enrollment period for 2026.
