TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Detectives from the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) made a significant drug bust on Oct. 25 in Tucson.
During a joint operation focusing on trains in the area, approximately 479 pounds of methamphetamine and over one pound of pink cocaine were seized from a railcar.
The street value of the drugs is estimated at $1.5 million.
Two suspects have been handed over to HSI for prosecution.
The AZDPS expressed gratitude to their partners at HSI, CBP Air and Marine Operations, and Border Patrol Nogales Disrupt for their support in the operation.
