PHOENIX (KVOA) - Arizona drivers are seeing a rise in gas prices despite the switch to a cheaper winter blend gasoline. According to AAA's weekly fuel report, the average price for a gallon of gasoline in Arizona increased by 4 cents, reaching $3.36. This rise is attributed to refinery maintenance in California, causing temporary price hikes.
Currently, Tucson has one of the lower prices in the state at $3.08 per gallon, compared to Phoenix at $3.58.
Nationally, gas prices are stable, with a slight increase of nearly 5 cents over the past week, bringing the average to $3.08. This is still lower than the average price at this time last year. As Thanksgiving approaches, prices are expected to remain quiet.
