SWANTON, Swan Creek Township — One person was seriously injured in a crash Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Swanton Township that residents have long raised concerns about.

The crash happened at the corner of County Road D and Sherman-White Road due to one driver not seeing another vehicle make a turn. Residents say the intersection has become increasingly dangerous, with this being the second crash there in two weeks.

Hannah and Jacob Lee live at that corner, and once again, their front yard took the hit.

“We have all this damage to deal with here,” Jacob said, referring to skid marks and torn-up grass that remains from the most recent crash.

“They hit our bushes pretty hard, so it must’ve been fairly high speed,” Hannah added.
