NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Even though Nashville International Airport isn't on the Federal Aviation Administration list of airports cutting their flight capacity, travelers are already feeling the impact of the ongoing federal government shutdown.

On Thursday afternoon, long security lines stretched through the terminal; lines that airport staff said look more like early morning crowds than midday traffic.

The FAA has announced temporary reductions in air traffic at some of the nation's busiest hubs, including Atlanta, Charlotte and Dallas, which are the top three connection points for Nashville travelers.
