OKEMOS, Mich. (WILX) - On Thursday, the Meridian Township Board approved, 5-1, a special use permit for Fedewa Holdings to construct four buildings with 32 housing units.

Buildings would be constructed at 4601 Dobie Rd. in Okemos.

Township Supervisor Scott Hendrickson says this project aligns with Meridian’s goals, “We understand that we need more housing in Meridian Township. We’ve done studies that show that we need to add about a thousand housing units over the next couple of years in order to just keep up with the demand of a growing community,” he said.
