A Kitchener man is facing a number of criminal charges after Waterloo Regional Police say an argument at an intersection led to a man pulling out a knife.

According to police, the incident occurred Thursday at about 12:20 p.m. when a man argued with the driver and passenger of a vehicle near the intersection of Highland Road West and Patricia Avenue before pulling out a knife.

There were no reported physical injuries, police said.

A 24-year-old Kitchener man was arrested and charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of breaching a probation order.

He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
