The first store in the Bayberry Town Center will be a Weis Markets grocery store, scheduled to open Nov. 13.
The shopping center on Boyds Corner Road will also include restaurants, stores and a bank.
The shopping center is part of the Bayberry planned community with more than 2,500 homes.
The first store is nearly ready for business in the nearly 280,000-square-foot Bayberry Town Center on Boyds Corner Road at Jamison Corner Road north of Middletown.
A Weis Markets grocery store, the largest building in the shopping center, is scheduled to open on Nov. 13 at 7 a.m.
At 64,000 square feet, this Weis store is the fourth in Delaware, joining locations in Lewes, Millsboro and Millville, but the first in New Castle County, said Dennis Curtin, director of public relations for Weis Market
