The city said it was made aware of a scam on parking machines on Nov. 3, and subsequently located and removed fake QR code stickers from 51 machines in the city. Article content Article content

“A sticker with a fake QR code has been attached to various machines which, when scanned with a smartphone, navigates residents to a fraudulent version of the PayByPhone website,” Scott Caldwell, manager of parking services, wrote in a statement Thursday.
