A fire burned 4 acres of brush land in Old Snowmass on Wednesday afternoon, but the blaze was quickly snuffed out.

A Roaring Fork Fire Rescue Authority news release says firefighters were dispatched at 12:17 p.m. Wednesday following a report of a fire in the area of 2000 Snowmass Creek Road. Initial dispatch information indicated “a wildland fire in the area of Williams Hill that was burning uphill.”
