The UK faces 56cm - yes, 22 inches - of snow at times through mid-November with THREE Home Nations set for a dusting. The UK could face a staggering amount of snow during the penultimate month of the year, as we head towards Christmas .

WX Charts maps and charts show 22 inches could fall in the Highlands, while at lower levels, 3cm is expected, with Scotland's capital Edinburgh and other major city, Glasgow, at risk.

As well as Scotland, England and Wales could see flurries of snow. The weather is being predicted to take a downturn ahead of a dusting and covering of the white stuff around November 17.
