Areas of dense fog of possible mainly across southern and eastern Mississippi this morning. Allow for more travel time, use your low beam headlights, and reduce following distance when encountering fog as you drive!
Isolated strong to severe storms will be possible Friday afternoon and evening as a cold front approaches the area. Primary hazards will be damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph and hail as large as quarters. A tornado or two can’t be ruled out.
A widespread freeze, with temperatures falling below 28F for several hours, is expected Monday Night into Tuesday Morning for much of the area. Areas of frost are likely accompanying the freeze. Significant Impacts to agriculture or otherwise unprotected outdoor vegetation are expected.
