BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — North Dakota's Human Service Centers have been renamed Behavioral Health Clinics to better reflect their focus on providing mental and behavioral health services.
The name change was approved by this year's legislature, a move meant to better represent the services the clinics provide for people.
The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) wants people to know that while the name of the centers is different, the services they provide are staying the same. The clinics offer various behavioral health services, ranging from skills teaching and integration, to therapy, to substance use disorder treatment.
The clinics also provide walk-in assessments Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m., as well as 24/7 crisis care.
