CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS — West Virginia State Parks officials announced the launch of the West FURginia State Park Ranger program, a pet-friendly initiative designed to help park guests and their dogs explore the Mountain State’s natural beauty together.

To participate in the program, guests should stop by a state park nature center to pick up an official West FURginia Ranger checklist. Upon completing five activities with their dog, guests should return the checklist to the nature center to receive an official West FURginia State Park Ranger certificate and a free commemorative dog tag.
