A woman has been arrested after shoplifting from the same store in Glasgow's west end nine times in one week.

Between October 31 and November 5, the 42-year-old woman continually targeted the shop on Byres Road , stealing £1500 worth of goods.

She was arrested on November 5 after an inquiry conducted by Glasgow’s dedicated Retail Crime Taskforce.

The serial shoplifter has been given special bail conditions not to enter three stores within the city.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "A woman has been charged with nine shopliftings that took place in the West End of Glasgow within the last week.

"Between 31 October and 5 November, a store in Byres Road was continually targeted and goods worth over £1,500 were stolen.
