A woman is accused of murdering her pensioner aunt at her home.
Louise Markson, 51, is charged of killing Susan Sergison at the property in Hamilton, Lanarkshire in January this year.
It is alleged the 78-year-old had her hair pulled as well as being repeatedly punched and kicked. The indictment further states Markson stamped and jumped on the OAP.
Miss Sergison is also said to have been repeatedly struck with "blunt and sharp-edged implements" as well as a mug. Markson is also accused of forcing part of a pen through her aunt's eyelid.
Prosecutors claim Miss Sergison was robbed of a quantity of jewellery during the alleged attack.
Markson faces a separate charge of attempting to defeat the ends of justice. It is said she got rid of a mobile phone to "conceal and destroy evidence"
