Amazon has announced Kindle Translate, a new service that can translate text between English and Spanish as well as German to English. The service is now in beta to select Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) authors.
As part of the beta, authors are able to manage and access their translations through the KDP portal. As explained by Amazon , authors can then select languages, set list prices and publish options. It’s said that in a “few days,” authors are able to publish their fully formatted translations for readers.
Amazon states that all translations are “automatically evaluated for accuracy before publication.” Authors can choose whether to preview the completed translations ahead of time or publish automatically.
