A 3-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed by the East Siang police administration to investigate the alleged ragging and the mysterious death of a 13-year-old student of Sainik School, Ruksin, in Arunachal Pradesh.

The SIT will be headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ayup Boko, with the Officers-in-Charge (OCs) of Ruksin and Sille Oyan Police Stations as the other two members, East Siang Superintendent of Police Pankaj Lamba told Northeast Live.

The team will visit the school premises to conduct a detailed probe into the incident.

The district administration has also ordered a magisterial inquiry to look into the circumstances surrounding the death of the Class 7 student.
