ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The 2025 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree will be in Albuquerque on Saturday, and the community is invited to see it.
The stately red fir, named Silver Belle, from the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Nevada, is making its way to Washington, D.C., where it will be displayed on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol this holiday season.
During the cross-country journey, the tree is making several stops, including at Balloon Fiesta Park in Albuquerque, to allow people to take photos with it and meet foresters.
The tree will be at Balloon Fiesta Park from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will also be local vendors, live music, and crafts for kids.
Silver Belle, a 50-year-old tree, stands 53 feet tall, is 20 inches in diameter, and has a 16-foot canopy spread. The tree will make
