CLEVELAND, Ohio — Players and fans heading out to high school football regional quarterfinal games across Northeast Ohio on Friday night can expect cool, breezy and mostly dry conditions — with only a slight chance of a few lingering showers early in the evening.
A fast-moving storm system sweeping through the Great Lakes will bring a period of rain and gusty winds Friday morning into the early afternoon, followed by gradual clearing and drier air for the evening, according to the National Weather Service in Cleveland .
Rain totals will remain light — generally a tenth to a quarter of an inch — with most of the steady rain ending by late afternoon.
