The question on the lips of everyone who attended the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra’s spectacular “Jurassic Park” Concert last weekend is this: Will they do something similar again?
The answer is a resounding “Yes.”
The next movie and accompanying soundtrack hasn’t been selected yet, but Executive Director Daniel Ponickly said, “There will be a next time. Oh yeah. Absolutely.”
More than 4,000 people bought tickets to the “Jurassic Park in Concer”t at the Carlson Center on Nov. 1 and 2. Outside the center, a ginormous inflatable T. Rex gobbled up a full-size pickup truck, providing a peek as to what awaited attendees. Inside, patrons walked into another world.
