Parts of 12 Mile Road in Novi and Farmington Hills will be rebuilt as part of a $12.4 million project starting next year.

While that’s underway, Farmington Hills will renovate Halsted Road between 12 Mile and 14 Mile roads. The city and road commission are coordinating the two projects.

People who are curious about the details can attend an open house hosted by the county road commission from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, in Harrison Hall at the HAWK, 29995 W. 12 Mile Road in Farmington Hills.

In 2026, the first phase of the 12 Mile project starts between Orchard Lake Road to Autumn Ridge Road in Farmington Hills.

This $3.4 million project includes:

• Removing existing pavement and repaving with asphalt.

• Reconstructing certain side-street approaches.

• Repairing curbs and gutt
