The Revolution on Friday made official the hiring of long-time assistant and US junior team coach Marko Mitrović, the 10th head coach in the team’s 30-year history.

The 47-year-old Mitrović, a native of Belgrade, Serbia, guided the US to the quarterfinals in both the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Chile last month and the Olympic Games in Paris last year.

“It’s an honor to join the Revolution and become the new head coach of this storied club,” Mitrović said in a release. “I will work relentlessly to deliver a team the fans will be proud to support. I’m excited to get started.”
